The Bingham Cup
The Bingham Cup 2008 took place in Dublin and was hosted by the Emerald Warriors R.F.C. It took place over three days and included 32 teams from all over the world take part. It is the biggest amateur rugby tournament in the world. Held every two years, it was an honour for the Warriors to hold this prestigious event and with it being so close to home, we felt if we worked hard enough on the pitch and enough, we would be able to enter the tournament as a new team with everything to play for and nothing to lose. Prior to taking part in the Bingham Cup the Titans had less that four games under their belt and so, the outcome is a testament to the strength, will and unity of the players and the team. Below is a breakdown of each match along with some quotes from people’s personal experiences having been part of the Titans for this tournament.
