Our best match out of the three, unfortunately, we still sustained a loss (albeit with the lowest margin of the tournament) and this impacted heavily on the team.

“To lose three matches in a row and be on the verge of going home, has to be the most deflating thing I’ve ever gone through collectively with other people”.

Despite feeling downhearted by these losses we focused our energy and set our minds of our next and potential last match.

There are four pieces of silverware to play for in the Bingham Cup and with three loses behind us, we were placed in the play off for the Bingham Shield. This knockout tournament was our last chance to come home with silverware and so, we threw ourselves, body and soul into our next match. Some changes were made and our coach focused our minds and brought us together to realise we had the potential to achieve something great.
